Belgium is a country known worldwide for the waffles, chocolate, beer and chips, and is not in vain.

The origins of chocolate can be traced back to the fifteenth century when the first settlers came to America. Little is thought the natives of the time with some seeds of cacao with milk and sugar in a product end up becoming so precious. Belgium was one of the first countries to have specific factories and the making of chocolate. So much so that Bruges is even a chocolate museum where you can discover the history of this product, its process and its different varieties.

If instead you prefer salty, you’re in luck. Bruges is the only city in the world in which there is a Museum of the potato chip.
